Alanya, Turkey took part in the first ever Wings for Life World Run that was held in 32 different countries and 34 tracks around world at the same time. 2.313 people from 42 different nationalities registered for Alanya track and 1.103 of them run. The winner of Turkey was Murat Kaya who managed to run 55,93 km before the catcher car caught him. The last caught woman in Alanya track was Svetlana Shepeleva who was also the third best woman athlete with 48,29 km in the world ranking..
